Becky's Casino Bar[1] is a combination bar and casino located inside the Den. The owner of the building is Becky.

Background[]

Becky's got the cheapest drinks in town.Becky's guard

Den's premier watering hole, Becky's is ran by the eponymous Rebecca, who provides quality service, gambling, and drinks. Rebecca offers the cheapest drinks in town,[2] specializing in homebrewed whiskey, a supposed tradition running in the Dyer family.[3] Rebecca's claim to the Dyers, a pre-War brand that operated pubs and saloons all over the world,[4] is impossible to verify, especially since she learned how to distill whiskey from a friend from a town near the Den. It still allows her to sell whiskey at $5 per shot, a quarter of the asking price over at The Hole. She keeps the trade secret under wraps, to prevent Frankie from trying to undercut her by destroying the still.[5]

Due to the cheap prices and gambling (hers is the only place in the Den when one can gamble, reputedly better than at New Reno)[6][7] she enjoys a stellar reputation among the Den's customers, who universally love her and swear by her drinks.[8] In the meantime, Frankie can't compete with her on prices, so spreads rumors that Becky's is a money pit, she waters the drinks down, and that the tables are rigged.[9]

Layout[]

Becky's is comprised of three ground-level rooms and a basement area. The main room contains two gaming tables on the northern side, chairs, and tables on the southern side and the bar itself on the eastern side.

The southern room is a food preparation area, while the northern room contains a staircase leading down to the basement. In the basement, which is comprised of two rooms, there are Becky's still, bedroom, and some random junk.

Becky's has two of what seem to be neon signs, one outside and the other between the gaming tables.

Becky's Casino Bar appears only in Fallout 2.

Behind the scenes[]

The establishment has four different names in the game, and it's unclear which is the intended spelling.

  • "Becky's Casino Bar" per the inside neon sign[10] and Rebecca's character description[11]
  • "Beckys" (without an apostrophe) per the outside neon sign[10]
  • "Rebecca's Bar and Casino" per Rebecca's dialogue[12]
  • "Rebecca's Casino Bar" per Den bulletin board[13]
