[edit] Characteristics

Dad's wasteland outfit is the Vault jumpsuit James is wearing after departing Vault 101. He is found wearing it in the Tranquility Lounger in Vault 112. It is identical to the Vault 101 utility jumpsuit except that the suit has black boots instead of sneakers, a black undershirt, as opposed to a white one, and a few more stains.

It can be repaired with Vault jumpsuits, the Vault 101 utility jumpsuit and the modified utility jumpsuit.

[edit] Location

  • One way to get this item is to plant a better armor on James, while he is available.
  • Another way to get this outfit is by standing directly in front of the airlock door in the Memorial Rotunda right after James' death, right in front of his corpse. Slowly rotate the camera around until the prompt "Search Dad" appears on the screen. This only works if his body has fallen close to the door. It is also possible do the same with Colonel Autumn, who at the time will have 10mm rounds, Colonel Autumn's uniform, and Colonel Autumn's 10mm pistol.

[edit] Notes

  • Despite being almost identical to a Vault 101 utility jumpsuit, Dad's wasteland outfit, while only offering a damage resistance of 2, weighs an astounding 20 lbs. - a little less than a suit of combat armor, and as much as recon armor.

[edit] Bugs

  • PlayStation 3Icon ps3.png Xbox 360Icon xbox360.png This piece of clothing has a tendency to spin around in the air slowly when picked up and held. It will continue to spin until it is dropped. This can be particularly frustrating if you're trying to display it in your house.
