Janowski was a technician who worked at ArcJet Systems before the Great War.
Background[]
While working in the propulsion division, Janowski and Rand spent three months working to complete thrust calculations for the XMB booster engine, much to the irritation of their supervisor. In 2077, they were both drafted by the U.S. military. In the weeks leading up to his leaving for training, Janowski slacked on office protocols, such as improperly recording logs, due to having to leave soon anyway. He was willing to take his work more seriously for Rand's sake, however.[1]

Janowski's voice type in the game's files is NPCFArcJetTech02, indicating Janowski was originally meant to be portrayed by a female voice actress. However, in the final version of the game, Janowski is voiced by quest designer Alan Nanes.
