Background[]
Reed was one of the researchers trapped inside Cambridge Polymer Labs when the Great War struck and Jon Elwood placed the laboratory on lockdown. They were one of Wilfred Bergman's supporters, who assisted him in his unsuccessful attempt to escape by cutting through the walls of the lab. They also wrote to Elwood, calling his actions "illegal."[1][2] Ultimately, they perished alongside the rest of the team in the locked lab.
