About damn time you showed up. We've been waiting here for-fucking-ever.

Ramsey is a slaver from Paradise Falls located at the train tunnel in the year 2277.

Background[]

Ramsey and his group of slavers have been operating in the northern regions of the Capital Wasteland looking to enslave any lost wastelanders to sell to the raiders from The Pitt.[Non-game 1] They recently established a camp at the train tunnel in order to ferry slaves to and from The Pitt, and Ramsey is proud of their progress.[Non-game 2][Non-game 3]

Ramsey is currently impatiently awaiting the arrival of one of the Pitt raiders, supposedly a man,[1][2] in order to sell Prosper and two other slaves to him.[3][4] He has been instructed by Eulogy Jones to only accept caps for the slaves rather than trade,[5][6][7] and has also been instructed to inform the buyer that the slavers apologize for only having three slaves to sell and that they will have more the next time.[8]

Notes[]

Ramsey’s entry in the Wasteland Census claims that Wernher had been enslaved by Ramsey’s group before deactivating his collar and escaping, prompting Ramsey to employ Pitt raiders to hunt down and re-capture him. However, neither Ramsey nor Wernher make any mention of this, and Wernher simply refers to Ramsey’s group as a group of slavers waiting to make a sale, while also mentioning that he has spied on them.[9][10][Non-game 1]

Appearances[]

Ramsey appears only in the Fallout 3 add-on The Pitt.

  2. Ramsey: "Are you from The Pitt? I thought you were supposed to be a guy."

  3. The Lone Wanderer: "What are you doing out here?"
Ramsey: "Waiting for Santa Claus, what do you think? We're here to do business. So, if you're not who we're waiting for, then I suggest you fuck off before I shove my gun so far up your ass that you start burping lead."
    (Ramsey’s dialogue)
  4. The Lone Wanderer: "Who are you waiting for?"
Ramsey: "Not that it's any of your business, but we're waiting for some dudes who live up north. They've been buying up all the meat they can get their hands on. No clue why, but they pay good money, so I don't really care."
    (Ramsey’s dialogue)
  5. The Lone Wanderer: "Yeah, that's me. I'm here to buy these slaves."
Ramsey: "About damn time you showed up. We've been waiting here for-fucking-ever. Whatever, man. You're here now. I just hope you're ready to do business. We've got three. Usual price: 200 each. Boss says no trade so, cash only."
    (Ramsey’s dialogue)
  6. The Lone Wanderer: "Do you really care if I'm a man or not? I'm here to buy these slaves."
Ramsey: "I really don't. I'm just glad that you finally showed up. We've been waiting here for-fucking-ever. Whatever, man. You're here now. I just hope you're ready to do business. We've got three. Usual price: 200 each. Boss says no trade so, cash only."
    (Ramsey’s dialogue)
  7. The Lone Wanderer: "I'm whoever you want me to be, baby."
Ramsey: "Well, that's how it is, huh? Well, right now I want you to be a customer. Usual price: 200 each. Boss says no trade. Cash only."
    (Ramsey’s dialogue)
  8. The Lone Wanderer: "600 for all three? You've got a deal."
Ramsey: "Finally. Here's the key to the gate. Do whatever you want with 'em. I couldn't care less. Oh, hey: Eulogy says to tell your man that we're sorry that we could only get three. We'll get a better roundup next time. Pleasure doing business with you."
    (Ramsey’s dialogue)
  9. The Lone Wanderer: "What do we need to do first?"
Wernher: "Well, you might try a disguise. They probably won't let some random armed Waster past the gates. But if you look like one of the working stiffs, you should be able to slip in with no problem. Lucky for us, a group of Slavers is nearby waiting to make a sale. You should be able to get one off of them. They're off to the west, near the tunnel that leads to The Pitt. That should be our first move."
    (Wernher’s dialogue)
  10. The Lone Wanderer: "What do you need me to do?"
Wernher: "I need to you find a Slave Outfit so we can sneak you into The Pitt. I had to ditch mine whenever I ran for it. I spied on a group of Slavers nearby. They're waiting to make a sale to some guys from The Pitt. Do whatever you have to, but get a Slave Outfit from them. We don't have much time."
    (Wernher’s dialogue)

Searching the Northern Wastes for wayward and lost scavengers and settlers, Ramsey and his small band of (mainly albino) Slavers have recently had to deal with losing one of their prized specimens after he deactivated his collar and fled. A slave was killed in the process, and Ramsey is currently strengthening his camp, locking up his possessions, and paying local Pitt Raiders to locate his escapee. Eulogy Jones won't be pleased.""

Ramsey has been building this staging ground for ferrying slaves to and from The Pitt for a few weeks, and he's pleased with the progress he and his albino brethren have achieved. Although not violent, the Slavers will attack if provoked or if you attempt to unlock or enter the Slave Pen, which is surrounded by scattered shacks. Adjacent to the camp is the Train Tunnel. Once you are properly attired, you can trek to The Pitt. When you complete this quest, you are free to move to and from The Pitt from this location."

Northward, in the mountainous regions away from the remains of civilization, are two often-overlooked locations that offer the brave explorer access to The Pitt. The first of these is a Radio Tower emitting a signal from Wernher, where you first begin your exploration into this new territory. Farther west is a small Slaver camp built around a Train Tunnel that leads to a long series of roads and tunnels that terminate at The Pitt. This is the territory of Ramsey, one of Eulogy Jones's trusted men."
