Stimpak, or stimulation delivery package, is a type of hand-held medication used for healing the body of general wounds.

[edit] Background
Stimpaks consists of a syringe for containing and delivering the medication and a gauge for measuring the status of the stimpak's contents. When the contents of a stimpak are injected, it provides immediate healing of the body's minor physical wounds. More potent versions, such as Super stimpaks and Ultra stimpaks, available for more severe injuries, but are rare to find and come with side effects due to the size of the medication being delivered.
Health dispensers used during the Anchorage Reclamation, manufactured by Lee Rapid Pharmaceuticals, have an identical delivery method, which hints that stimpaks are also a product of the company.
[edit] Variants
[edit] Stimpak
The regular version of the chem. It heals only some wounds, but it doesn't have any side effects.
[edit] Super stimpak
An advanced version, while it heals more severe wounds, it also has unpleasant side effects. The super version comes in a hypodermic, but with an additional vial containing more powerful chems than the basic model and a leather belt to strap the needle to your limb, an indication of a prolonged release infusion of the drug perhaps for increased absorption. The super stimpak is much less common in the wasteland than the standard stimpak.
[edit] Auto-inject stimpak
The auto-inject stimpak is a modified stimpak which monitors vital signs, allowing for timely emergency treatment.
[edit] Auto-inject super stimpak
A larger more powerful cousin of the auto-inject stimpak, it drastically increase your own recuperative functions and restores some lost hit points almost instantly. Just like normal super stimpaks, usage can have negative side effects
[edit] Health dispenser
Health dispensers are stationary health stations found in the Anchorage Reclamation simulation, which might indicate that they were also used during the actual Anchorage Reclamation itself as well. Although immobile, they are reusable and more powerful than regular stimpaks, as they restore your health to full no matter how low it is.
[edit] Ultra stimpak
The following is based on Fallout Tactics and some details might contradict canon.
Even more advanced than a super stimpak, the ultra stimpak not only immediately heals both minor and major wounds, it also induces a strong regenerative effect in patients for an excessive period of time. Ultra stims are, understandably, incredibly rare finds.
[edit] Super Duper stimpak
The following is based on Project V13 and has not been confirmed by canon sources.
An even more superior version of super stimpak.
[edit] Expired stimpak
The following is based on the JSawyer mod and has not been confirmed by canon sources.
A stimpak that has not been stored in proper conditions and is thus not as effective centuries after it was manufactured.
[edit] Homemade stimpak
The following is based on the JSawyer mod and has not been confirmed by canon sources.
A homemade version of the stimpak made after the Great War. Such stimpaks reduce the user's perception temporarily, similarly to the more primitive healing powder.
