Camp McCarran? I'm not saying it's incorrect, but where exactly did we get that it was called "Camp McCarran" from? is there any source of this?

I saw it myself at Gamescom. Ausir(talk) 09:24, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

says "Camp McCarran" in game

The NCR randomly attack Ed-E bug also occurs in the PC version. After completing It doesnt hurt anymore the first recon team will attach Ed-E

Don't know if it's a common occurrence, but whenever I enter the camp itself, from either outside, or the terminal building, I experience a Massive framerate drop. So much so, that I was almost sure my game froze. I play on the 360, if it's happened to anyone else, and they've found a way around it, I'd reallly like to know. Thanks. 71.72.172.73 04:10, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Sniper Rifle[]

Doesn't seem to be there in my version (PS3). That picture made it pretty obvious where it was, and well it is the only place that has bunk beds and a bunch of snipers. Just wasn't there for me. --Jimimorrison 22:15, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Crashes[]

WTH, every time I try to enter Camp McCarran (X-Box 360) the game crashes and my entire console freezes up so I end up having to reset my system. I checked the bugs section on the page but Im no where near the criteria for any of the bugs, can anyone clue me in on this? Ouroboros Omega 16:32, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

Fixed[]

I fixed the atrocious grammar in the PS3 bug in the Bugs section. *awaits applause*

My partner plays it on the PS3 and when he goes near the camp it logs him out of the game and the PS3 has frozen a few time's when the game is playing as well. does anyone have any ideas for a fix for it please?

Infinite Spawning NCR Troopers?[]

Infinite Spawning of NCR Troopers Just wondering, since I've just now made a new "evil" character who is going to be completely for the Legion, however I don't want to be openly against the NCR until the final battle. Im trying to find an infinite source of dogtags that the soldiers have on them so i can turn them into Aurealus of Phoenix or w/e his name is for his helm and reputation rewards for the Legion. Anyone ever eliminate every person in any NCR camp and have them respawn?--24.165.179.157 01:53, March 19, 2011 (UTC)

Walls[]

So why were the giant fortress walls erected before the war? Since the runway was closed off from the airport it hints that it was converted into some type of military base for the war effort. Gmcb007 14:04, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

The walls in game were used as place holders for the strip ones. According to concept art the walls at the airport were to be made from scrap, and obviously post great war, erected by the NCR when they turned the place into their HQ. On that note it'd probably be an idea to change the page's info to take this into account. ~Wyrmalla (forgetting to sign in as usual)

Found potential cause of crashes when entering Camp McCarran Terminal[]

Fast Traveling frome the Crimson Caravan to Camp McCarran seems to increase the likelyhood of the glitch occuring. Still experimenting, will come back if/when it is confirmed.

EDIT: It seems that traveling from the Crimson Caravan in any way is the problem, as walking to and from there did not cause an issue, nor did fast traveling to the Gun Runners. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they are both walled-off locations? Enough investigation for the day.

when I try to enter camp mccarran the loading screen is NEVERENDIN. It moves and all, but seems to going on forever. wtf?

This location along with others mentioned above including (Hidden Valley Bunker, & any active Strip Casino)since the last two DLCs have been giving players of all platforms FPS issues and loading hangups. This is affecting ALL PLATFORMS. Even when new PCs are created post last patch/DLC. Fresh installations are not helping either, & to make matters worse of course Bethesda/Obsidian are not supporting Fallout: New Vegas anymore. 98.232.130.157 00:30, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

May also crash while leaving the terminal[]

The monorail platform, which is technically parallel with the doors at main entrance is also affected by the CTD bug introduced by the latest patch.

No Planes[]

<edit: playing on PS3>

I am on my second play through (well started over halfway through first) and I remember planes being out back near the tower. This play through each time i go out back near the tower there are no planes and there are floating non interactable containers, which i am assuming the platforms they are supposed to be sitting on have disappeared as well.. I noticed this because on the quest "I put a spell on you" the wiki suggest to hide behind a plane while the spy enters the tower, well the back area is completely empty, no planes or anything really. I was wondering if anyone else had this happen or any way to fix this. Its been the same each time i return to mcCarran.Tlau79 (talk) 20:35, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

Doctors[]

Anybody know where I can find a doctor in Camp McCarran? LS11sVaultBoy (Talk) 15:43, June 16, 2014 (UTC)

In the concourse, there's a man in a white lab coat sitting at a desk in the left hand corner of one of the rooms. If you have poor reputation with the NCR, he won't treat you.Foxi Hooves (talk) 18:51, June 16, 2014 (UTC)

McCarran being too small?[]

"The real McCarran is a lot smaller than the one depicted in game."

Say what now? Whoever wrote this has clearly not been to Vegas, or made a really silly error. You could easily fit a dozen copies of the entirety of in-game McCarran Airport in the real life one, and still have enough room to to comfortably land a 747.
