Split[]

Fallout 3 Speech Challenges should perhaps be a separate article. J B 03:54, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

I think it should be Fallout 3 Speech Challenge, and then Speech article refer only to the skill and have a link for fallout 3 to the main article. --Odie5533 23:47, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
How about moving Silver-Tongued Devil to Fallout 3 speech challenges and moving the list of challenges there? Ausir 00:17, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
The reason for the split is that Speech is a skill, and speech challenges are something that uses the skill. A lot of the Speech article refers to the challenges. That's basically why I think it should be split. --Odie5533 00:25, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Then should the Uses of Speech as it relates to the game be a seperate article? Or maybe we should organize the article a bit better. I've been monitoring this for some time. J B 01:06, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

100 Speech worth it?[]

Has anyone run across any speech checks in NV that require 100? if not, what's the highest you've run into? Drmuffinz 03:23, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

50 is the highest I have seen, though with comprehension and skill books a player only needs 64 speech to attain a temporary 100. 64 + 16 (Books/Perk) + 20 (Magazine) = 100 It's even less if you keep Speech boosting clothing around such as dirty/grimy businesswear (-5, 59) and charisma boosting items (-2-18, 57-41). The Highest I've seen is 85 during the Van Graf's mission when they send you to meet a contact east of Freeside. Also whilst you can run a character with low speech and use books, chems and items to boost the skill to pass challenges, you kind of need to know about them beforehand in some cases as you can't break the conversation to boost speech.
