Weapons[]
Can you please read the Vaults policy and guidelines on items The Vault:Article layout guideline/Item article. The information is not relevant to the weapons themselves, but to the creatures and NPC in regard to there damage thresholds and should be housed on there page. 20:05, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for your recent edit to a weapon page here at The Vault. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that we don't put real-world weapon references on article pages, unless it's the same name as the real-world weapon, or if is mentioned by a developer that the ingame weapon is intended to represent a specific real-world weapon. Thanks again. 16:32, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
NCR bug[]
The NCR bug was a nice find. I have added a pipboy image to it, since it doesn't have an image in the GECK. Jspoel 14:59, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
- You created another page, but right now I'm thinking if it should redirect to the page Fallout: New Vegas keys. There it says only keys for doors or containers are listed, so maybe yours still deserves its own page. I need to check this out. And if you create new pages, can you lowercase it? So not Terminal Access Card, but Terminal access card.
Capitalisation[]
Hi, just wanted to tell you about capitalisation policy in articles and article names.
- Weapons, misc items, ammo, chems, apparel, and unmarked locations shouldn't be capitalised: (e.g. plasma rifle, power armor)
- Faction names, marked locations, unique weapons, and proper nouns should only be capitalised.
When making articles in the future, please use the correct capitalising. Cheers. Trolly Polly 15:22, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, like Trolly Polly says. Jspoel 15:33, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
- That keycard is a quest item, so it deserves its own page. And I removed your infobox from the Capital Wasteland page. It really wasn't needed because it already had one.
Location overview page[]
Don't add player housing to the overview page of the New Vegas locations, it's already there. See here. I'm going to revert it. And you added a few other things (some letters?) which I believe is not necessary. Jspoel 13:48, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
- Don't make any changes anymore similar to the ones you just did to the Vault 87 super mutant page, please. It's not part of the creature project yet. Most info is already on the variant pages. Jspoel 14:47, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
Rat Meat[]
You can stop editing on the Rat meat page, it already exists: Rat meat. Yesterday we told you about (de)capitalisation and still you create a pagename with caps. Why? It's just a common consumable. I'm going to redirect it. Jspoel 14:59, May 4, 2011 (UTC)
Its what it says in game with all the words beginning letters in capitol.
I shall be sure to delete the page and add a re-direct in the mean time.
But you already did so ill be sure to add it to the fallout new vegas consumables list
Posting, Hull, 20 gauge[]
- Next time when you give me a post, can you do it on my talkpage instead of your own? Otherwise I don't get a notice of it. You need to click on my username for that. And why did you make hull, 20 gauge a page again. It was redirected by an admin and needs to stay that way. I'm going to change that again. Jspoel 16:43, May 4, 2011 (UTC)
- I'll be sure to next time.
But I'm just thinking its a little of that we don't have one for the Hull, 20 gauge but we do have one for the 12 gauge hulls
That one has a similar redirect to Hull box, 12 Ga.. I think some time ago it has been decided that all hull, .. gauge pages should redirect to hull box, .. ga.
- And you posted your comment again on your own talkpage. Click on my name Jspoel plz. Jspoel 13:54, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
- That one was with a lowercased gauge, I redirected that one also.
Brotherhood of Steel[]
They have their own pages, Brotherhood of Steel and Mojave Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel, as well as having their own section on the main page Brotherhood of Steel. So question answered I thought.
- And sign your posts with ~~~~ on talkpages. Now I had to search to see who it was coming from.
Jackal gang leader[]
You can create it. Click on this link to create the page (gang is lowercased). Read the guidelines for the correct layout of the page. Jspoel 15:59, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
- If a character is listed in the GECK and he/she doesn't have a page yet, you can create it. So that means you can create Viper leader. If you create a new page, can you wikify it? That means that you browse through other (related) pages and look if the word viper leader or jackal gang leader is mentioned somewhere (like on the Jackals or Jackal gang member page) and link it. Then those 2 new pages won't be 'all alone' (or orphaned) anymore. You can also add the
Wikify
template on top of the page. Then others will know of it.
- I don't think a miscellaneous and aid section in the character's inventory table is necessary. Those items can be listed in the other items section. Jspoel 14:22, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel[]
You really should watch your spelling (and if the info you add is even necessary) when editing main pages like the Brotherhood of Steel. Below I've made some changes to what you wrote there.
The Capital Wasteland Brotherhood still uses energy weapons, mostly the laser rifle and the laser pistol. But due to the difficulty of finding, producing new parts and maintaining the laser based weapons, many paladins use traditional guns, most notably the standard assault rifle and Chinese assault rifle.
With all due respect, but for now I think it's better if you make edits on 'smaller' pages (like jackal gang leader and viper leader) untill you get more experience. Jspoel 14:36, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
Very well. I'll keep an eye out for pages that need to be made and run things by you first. And to be honest I do need some more experience first. User:Chief editor 13 10:54 AM May 6, 2011.
NCR dogtag[]
I see you're adding inventory info to character pages, also some dogtag data. On the New Vegas character pages it's NCR dogtag. And if you respond to a message, click on the name of the one who sent it to you. If you post it on your own talkpage, the receiver won't know they got a message.... So that you know. Jspoel 15:43, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
Polatli[]
Why did you you remove this. I checked it with the GECK, and you removed valid inventory. You may want to to backtrack those edits. Jspoel 16:24, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
See http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/downloads/geck.php for the GECK (the top one, New Vegas). If you're not familiar with it, it needs some figuring out. For characters, you need to look for the branch NPC. Jspoel 16:37, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Don't change or into <br> anymore. In the case of the NCR heavy trooper you made a wrong change. The weapon-inventory of the troopers vary, so it needs to be or. The way you changed it, it looks like 1 NCR heavy trooper has all those weapons on him. Please backtrack your edits, check the NPC (is it a specific, named NPC or a general one) to see if it needs to be reverted. Jspoel 16:45, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
NCR trooper[]
Can you use <br /> between weapons and remove the first <br> between ...]] and <br /> like I did on NCR trooper? Otherwise the list gets so long. And please make the dogtag like this: NCR dogtag Jspoel 18:10, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Can you lowercase items like Stormchaser Hat and Biker Goggles in inventory boxes to Stormchaser hat and Biker goggles? In fact, it would be even better if you link Stormchaser hat as Stormchaser hat. That would lead to a direct link. And also check other items where they link to. A direct link is best. Thanks. Jspoel 14:49, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Can you change Leather Armor, Reinforced into Leather armor, reinforced? In general, items and clothing can be decapped.
Chalk Head[]
!!! Where did you get that screencap? Tagaziel (call!) 18:19, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Image[]
Thanks for the uploaded image of Dead Horse. I have lightened it a bit. Jspoel 12:34, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
Remnants[]
It's sufficient that the page Remnants redirects to Enclave. Anything that needs to be said about them can be added to the Remnants section of the Enclave article if it's not already present. --Kris 18:23, May 26, 2011 (UTC)
Wasteland legend outfit[]
It didn't belong on the merc outfit page. I have moved to Wasteland outfit (Fallout: New Vegas). Thanks for informing me. Jspoel 18:38, June 2, 2011 (UTC)
- And I haven't found it either yet. Keep looking around, maybe some npc will wear it.
Bitter Springs Massacre[]
Yes, it's an interesting event. I have done some searching and the page already existed, but after having some data added to it, was redirected to the Bitter Springs page. I have reverted that. You're welcome to add more info to it. Jspoel 13:54, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
NCR-Great Khans War[]
If you want to create a page for it, that allright I suppose, but it has to contain a reasonable amount of valid information (so do do your research). It has to become something like the NCR-Enclave_War page I think. So don't just make an infobox with nothing further to it. Jspoel 14:08, June 9, 2011 (UTC)
[]
It's isn't necessary to put dead in front of items that are in the "on death" section of an NPC's inventory. It's kind of like stating the same thing twice. Kastera (talk) 17:01, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
Weapons[]
Only add-on weapons need to be italicized, not unique weapons. If they're present in the base game, don't italicize them. Kastera (talk) 17:08, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think anything is done to unique weapons, only add-on items which are italicized and have the icon after it. --Kastera (talk) 17:19, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
Add-on packs[]
Sorry to be a nag again, but when you're putting the classic pack or raider pack logo after add-on items, could you link it to the add-on pack as well? All you've got to do is add "link=tribal pack" at the end. So it should look like . --Kastera (talk) 16:34, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
- No obligation of course, but it would be nice if you could add the link=add-on part behind add-on items, like Kastera suggests above. Jspoel 18:04, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
- You can decap microfusion cell in mid-sentence and mind the spelling. You typed mircofusion twice on pages. Jspoel 18:15, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
Timeline[]
Hello my friend ;)
Please don't edit the same page many time for just add a few of information that can added in at least 3-4 edit, this counts as an achievement boosting and you can be temporarily banned for that. Nice evening and see soon! Itachou [~talk~] 22:16, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes but make just 1 edit for all if you can, maximun 5 accept but not 24 edit (!), like you have done for now, after it's like I told you and you can be temporary banned for that. You have been warned, just follow the rules. Itachou [~talk~] 22:27, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Regardless of what Itachou thinks is edit boosting, character birthdates go on the Birthdates page, not on the timeline page, with a few exceptions like House and the PC. Nitty Tok. 22:29, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
Like all user here. It's just the rules so it must be follow my friend ;). Also, Nitty have rights on that, birthdates go to Birthdates page. Itachou [~talk~] 22:40, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
- You have re-put birthdates in Timeline page and we (me and Nitty) had strictly told you to put them on the Birthdates page. Also, you re-done multiple small edit (9) of a same page despite they could be done by a more smaller edit (3-4), and you have been warned about that. So I have no choice, I ban you for 1 day, please think about your agissement in the future. Nice evening. Itachou [~talk~] 19:48, July 14, 2011 (UTC)
Present[]
You have been given A Nom Nom. Your efforts and diligence have not gone unnoticed, and you have been given a small token of appreciation. You been Nom Noming those edits, keep it up:) --m 00:31, July 14, 2011 (UTC)m |
Tier page[]
I would be against an equipment tier page. The reason being, since Fallout is an RPG, there are too many ways to play the same game. Some may run in like maniac decked out in expensive power armor wielding a high-tech plasma rifle, while another player of the same level may sneak in with light armor and sneak attack critical with a low tech, inexpensive sledgehammer. There are just too many possibilities; weapons used, armors worn, amount of caps, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. layout, different perks that influence their choice of armor and weapons. In theory, the equipment page would seem like a nice plan that could potentially help lots of users, but all in all it's far to complex to whittle down to one finite plan that fits everyone equally. --Kastera (talk) 04:56, July 14, 2011 (UTC)
Roger Maxson-timeline issue[]
Hello my friend ;)
The real date of the death of Colonel Robert Spindel, based from the "Captain Maxson's diary" of Fallout, is October 15, 2077 - so five day after the discovery of the FEV virus experiments =). Itachou [~talk~] 10:47, July 14, 2011 (UTC)
Present/apology/GET WELL SOON![]
Hello my friend =)!
Thanks for the present and no hard feeling, sorry I had to do that, I don't like ban people, especially when they are not vandals. Bit by bit I recovered of my surgery, thank you for worry about that ;). Nice evening and see you soon Chief! Itachou [~talk~] 16:46, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
Protectorate[]
Thank you. :3 Nitty Tok. 17:23, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
Ghoul Ecology / Superior Defender[]
You can add the Ghoul Ecology perk to all Fallout 3 weapon pages, the Superior Defender perk however not, because contrary to the Ghoul Ecology perk, certain criterias (standing still) have to be met to apply. So that one you can remove it you see it (like on the Man Opener page. Jspoel 18:10, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- You're doing good work on the weapon pages, but can you lowercase the first letter of a weapon when in mid-sentence, like just now with assault rifle (on the Perforator page)? Thanks. Jspoel 20:35, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- I had some trouble understanding your post, try to make it a bit more readable next time. But I think you just need to look at base damage for every perk, and that's how it's used in the infobox. So it's fine like it is now. Jspoel 21:12, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- All effects are applied to the base damage, it isn't applied to the (+ x-amount of points) bonus of other perks. Also it would affect. Also (+ x-amount of points) do not effect things like weapons effects (i.e. explosives, flamers etc.). However, (+ x-amount %) is applied to both base damage and any weapon effects depending on the perk. 21:38, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
Perks and Weapons[]
After you're done adding Ghoul Ecology to Fallout 3 weapons, you can also start adding Superior Defender as well, if you want. Kastera (talk) 21:13, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
Never mind, ignore the above message; I didn't see the message Jspoel had written you. Kastera (talk) 21:14, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Gatling is a 'proper noun', so you can leave that one capitalized in mid-sentence :) Jspoel 21:28, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
Story[]
Ausir, Gothemasticator etcetera will be annoyed if they see your story ;). Clever though, especially with the vault dweller pictures :). See you around, .
Deathclaw mother[]
That's a funny story. Why don't you post it on the game discussion forum to see if anyone else experienced it. If you get some positive reactions you can add it to the bug section of the deathclaw mother page. Jspoel 19:54, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
Fort Constatine[]
I reverted your Chinese assault rifle edit on the Fort Constatine page. It isn't needed. The type 93 reference on the Chinese assault rifle page itself is enough. Jspoel 21:13, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Lonesome Road?[]
I was wondering if you have downloaded Lonesome Road yet and can confirm the name of the Bowie knife? Message 20:42, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
- ....Why on Earth didn't I think of YouTube earlier? *facepalm* Thanks. Message 20:54, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
CZ57 Avenger[]
I haven't heard of this happening before. Looks like a note for the CZ57 Avenger bug section. Try it one more time (a clean try, teleporting to the location would be best I think) and see if you get the same result. Then you can add it to the Avenger page with a verify
tag. You can also try it with other unique weapons. See what happens. Jspoel 00:32, December 18, 2011 (UTC)
Excuse me Cheif but I'm new here and i was wondering how you got your profile page to look like a character page. It's really cool and i wanted to know how to do that. Thanks! --LandonStudios 00:08, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
Outcasts[]
Hello Chief editor 13, please refrain from edit warring. If you feel your edits have been reverted without cause, leave a message on the article talk page, with the reverting editor, or one of Nukapedia's active administrators. Do not continue to edit war, as this will result in administrative action. You should take this opportunity to completely familiarize yourself with Nukapedia's user policies and content guidelines, if you have not yet done so. | |

Edit War[]
Please refrain from edit warring. An edit war is when your edit is reverted, and you revert that edit. If you feel your edit was reverted in bad faith, leave a message on the article's talk page or on the talk page of the reverting editor. Richie9999 (talk) 21:14, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
- That is pretty much the definition of edit warring. Leave the page be until the two of you have discussed this. Great Mara (talk) 21:46, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
- Additionally, by constantly re-adding the information, you are edit warring. Please stop until this has been fully discussed. Richie9999 (talk) 21:54, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
Outcasts[]
I only reverted the edit once. You used subjective terms as to who was winning/better. While the Outcasts may have robots, the BoS do too, additionally, the BoS has Liberty Prime, more suits of power armor, more members, etc. Richie9999 (talk) 21:51, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
- Your exact words were "... the Outcasts are ahead of the Wasteland Brotherhood." in regards to technology. The loss of liberty prime does, in no way invalidate the technological gains made by the BoS in restoring Liberty Prime to functional order. You cited the Outcast's research into improving tech (which is already mentioned) the BoS took a nonfunctional robot and made it functional again. As they both have robots, that's hardly a distinguishing quality. Supplementing energy weapons on the part of the BoS with guns likely has much to do with the fact that they have more members. Plus the BoS are still fielding more suits of Power Armor.Richie9999 (talk) 22:02, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
- To add onto this, Lyons and his BoS also have access to technology such as Tesla cannons, vertibirds, and have proven themselves in their efforts at reverse-engineering Enclave gear, even before the liberation of the purifier. The only real argument in your favour, is that the Outcast's have found themselves with access to pre-War bunkers. Some Assembly Required! 22:09, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
