"Johnny Guitar" is a song broadcast on Radio New Vegas, Mojave Music Radio, and Black Mountain Radio in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background[]

The music was written by Victor Young, and the lyrics were written by Peggy Lee, and recorded by Peggy Lee as the theme for the 1954 Republic Pictures film Johnny Guitar.

Lyrics[]

Play the guitar; play it again, my Johnny
Maybe you're cold, but you're so warm inside

I was always a fool for my Johnny
For the one they call Johnny Guitar

Play it again
Johnny Guitar

What if you go, what if you stay, I love you
What if you're cruel, you can be kind I know

There was never a man like my Johnny
Like the one they call Johnny Guitar

(Instrumental break)

There was never a man like my Johnny
Like the one they call Johnny Guitar

Play it again
Johnny Guitar

Notes[]

  • This song is one of four that appear on all three major radio stations, with the other three being "Big Iron," "Heartaches by the Number," and "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie."
  • The original 78rpm version of the song appears to be a different take. Lee says "Play it again" faster during the bridge.[1]
