Ra'at clawtear you! Clawtear!

Keeng Ra'at (King Rat) is an albino mole rat living in the rat caves beneath Klamath in 2241.

Background[]

A large albino mole-rat with an enlarged braincase, Keeng is permanently frothing at the mouth.[2] He is the "leader" of the swarm of rats[3] that has infested Klamath's trapper town.[4] Capable of rudimentary speech,[5] it is rabidly hostile to humans, unlike his smarter brother, Brain. Killing Keeng Ra'at makes his brother comment on it when met, but he will not attack in revenge as he knows Keeng Ra'at was insane.[1]

  1. 1.0 1.1 Brain: "(musing to himself) So many things pass away. Times are not what they were. (sigh) I feel that my sole remaining kin has died. Mad, though he was, I wish it were not so. I had hoped that he might find some happiness even in his dotage. (to you) Well, enough of my sad musings."

  3. 3.0 3.1 The Chosen One: "At home, mom just used to pan-fry them with a little butter. But, tell me more about the rat attacks."
Slim Picket: "People been disappearing. Just them as are slow and sickly, for now. 'Course, they don't stop to cook their food like us. They just gnaw it into a few bloody clumps of hair and rags. Least that's all we find in the morning. I've even heard talk that there's some kind of giant rat god that tells 'em all what to do."
    (Slim Picket's dialogue)
  4. The Chosen One: "Why do you call this Trapper Town?"
Slim Picket: "Well, this here part of town is where all of us trappers live when we’re not out trapping geckos. Only problem about the free digs are the rats on the north side. But we have most of the entrances to that part of the mall barricaded pretty good."
The Chosen One: "Rats? Tell me more about rats."
Slim Picket: "Well they taste pretty good if you spit-roast 'em with just a titch of herbs. But most of the time they can be a real nuisance, and they're getting worse. We've barricaded the north side of town but they're sneaking through anyway. There's one door to the north side, right here, but I have it locked."
    (Slim Picket's dialogue)
  5. Keeng Ra'at: "I Keeng Ra'at"
