The Jackhammer, despite its name, is an easy to control shotgun, even when fired on full automatic. The popular bullpup design, which places the magazine behind the trigger, makes the weapon well balanced & easy to control.Fallout 2 description

The Pancor Jackhammer is a small gun in Fallout 2.

Background[]

This section is transcluded from Combat shotgun. To change it, please edit the transcluded page.

A combat shotgun is a shotgun that is intended for use in an offensive role, typically by a military force. While limited in range, the multiple projectiles typically used in a shotgun shell provide increased hit probability unmatched by other small arms, usually utilized in close-range combat.[Non-game 1] Most combat shotguns are fully automatic and have a drum magazine, giving them a definite advantage over break-action double-barrel shotguns.

Characteristics[]

This is the strongest shotgun, having greater range, damage, and burst fire capabilities and is able with a good burst to shred against strong foes.

Locations[]

Behind the scenes[]

The Pancor Jackhammer was a real world weapon that never entered mass production. Few functional prototypes (according to some reports, as few as three) were ever made, and only one prototype is known to still exist.
