Well, Cherchez La Femme and The Professional, the game designers would love France ? Hehe, this is pretty cool ;) ! Itachou [~talk~] 18:09, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

I'm a bit disappointed. Originally the table of perks didn't mention the restriction on the types of weapons. I thought this was going to help me get my fiery explosion sneak attacks with the flamer more often. Bummer.

List of affected weapons

Is there a list available? Is the Laser RCW considered a "submachine gun" for this perk? And are there any glitches akin to Burnmaster and Pyromaniac in FO3?Dr. Lobotomy 19:20, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

I think it's just any one handed gun that benefits from this perk.

Does this perk also "upgrade" all one handed energy weapons, including the recharger gun? Zarathustra01 21:25, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Bump; 7 Months later and still no list, I'd love to have one like over on Grunt or Cowboy. - FieryWrath 21:17, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

This is some Real Bullsh1t!

This won't take into account melee weapons (arguable)...but not including UNARMED? WTF? Just about every assassin or spy movie the protagonist does that violent "neck snap" thing to remain unaware of other guards.

They should DEFINATELY include Unarmed; and consider adding specific melee weapons (IE no chainsaw, etc). Ranion 09:31, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

This isn't every assassin or spy movie. It's The Professional. I haven't seen the film for some time, but I don't remember any cool scenes where he used a melee weapon, or his fists.--86.44.130.176 20:09, December 20, 2010 (UTC)

Notes section on rifles clarifacation please

Can someone clarify this? Why is it relevant that rifles are still more accurate? Is the intent that; "Though rifle weapons are generally more accurate, they cannot be kept as holdout weapons"? That it also means to say: "In addition to being a useful perk when employing light small arms(guns & energy weapons), taking this perk is especially helpful in areas where better, more powerful weapons are prohibited"? If this what it means I'll rewrite if someone else doesn't first. Just sayin' 74.77.132.100 17:24, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

The commentary was added to illustrate that this Perk, used with an affected weapon, is still less potent than just using a rifle-grip gun, so you may not want to bother.

Well, the commentary is still confusing, so given the clarification here I believe I am going to re-word it. Please, anyone let me know if they think the change did not make it more clear. --Incrognito 18:39, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Weapons

Does anyone have a list of weapons precisley affected by this perk? Dmitri the wanderer 16:56, February 26, 2011 (UTC)

Wrong condition?

I think the condition for this perk is wrong. The perk tries to check if the target has detected the player (to see if it's a standard critical or a sneak critical), but instead, it checks if the player herself has detected herself. I think the GetDetected condition must be moved to the "Target" tab. Otherwise will always return true, as the player cannot detect herself. Can someone confirm this? I am not 100% sure. Is the .45 Auto Pistol Affected by this perk?

Can someone confirm this?--Ninety9Soulz 16:21, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

UPDATE: I tested it extensively myself and yes, the .45 Auto IS affected, so it's confirmed.--Ninety9Soulz 12:48, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

Affects both Sneak Attack Criticals and Regular Criticals

This perk doesn't just affect sneak attack criticals, it also affects regular criticals just the same. I tested it with multiple pistols with and without the perk and each and every time the test with the perk did more damage with both sneak attack criticals and regular criticals. Pretty cool if you just want to increase your overall critical hit damage with pistols.--Ninety9Soulz 12:51, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

For the love of all that is holy can someone make a list of all affected weapons? There should be a list like Cowboy or Grunt. I'd do it myself but I don't have the GECK because I am on a PS3.

A deeply concerned Anon

Can we please get a list for this article?

As suggested by some other users here, it seems absurd that, given The Vault's extensive documentation of "Grunt" and "Cowboy" perk instances, there has not been a list of affected weapons made for the "The Professional" perk. This article severely needs such a list, and could also do with a clean up. Thanks

Laser RCW

Does this really affect the RCW?? It's listed on this page. I need to know please. --71.228.175.126 06:30, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

anyone built a Leon, the professional, character? would love to see pic and/or build stats (Birchman34 21:16, March 8, 2012 (UTC))

Working on a "The Professional" build right now. I'll do my best to make him look like Leon, but he might not (probably wont) play like him.

On a side note, since I am making this build, can anyone confirm or deny that this perk works for That Gun? The list says the standard 5.56 works, but not That Gun? When combined with Cowboy, my gun choices are fairly limited, and That Gun would probably be a main option. Especially considering its ease of acquisition. --97.120.76.123 06:15, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

Is the effect a Critical Damage multiplier? Or is it just a multiplier for the Final Damage? I'm asking because Critical Damage multipliers are applied before armor DT.

Thankful for answers --85.226.112.162 22:23, October 8, 2012 (UTC)
