Stanislaus Braun[]

I found that a S.Braun was mentioned in the chief scientists terminal, could this be Doctor Stanislaus Braun the overseer of vault 112 from fallout 3? -- (unsigned)

I did find mentions of "Braun", but haven't noticed any references to "S. Braun". Could somebody check? Given the background of Stanislaus, the Vault 75 references could indeed refer to him. -- DarkDust (talk) 11:42, January 9, 2016 (UTC)

"S. Braun" is found here. --Alfwyn (talk) 12:04, January 9, 2016 (UTC)

Regarding Notable Loot[]

I didn't see any Ice Cold Nuka Cola on the skeleton, but seeing as the corpse in question was holding a Lunchbox, this could be where it may have come from. Also, there was no Fusion Core present, so as the original contributor suggests, it could be simply a random drop. Suggest to whomever added these to remove them if they cannot be verified. Breeding?[]

The overall plot of the vault seems to suggest that the students were "harvested" and then bred to explore the human Genome. However it also notes in some of the terminals that the graduation process was effectively a sham, with the overseer's terminal stating quote "Reiterate to the subject that a brief round of vaccinations is necessary, and avoid arousing any suspicions otherwise." It also notes "It is recommended that this "graduation" be treated as an important tradition inside Vault 75. Appropriate ceremonies should be conceived of and performed by Overseer staff, with outgoing subjects being removed one-by-one from the main living area." From there it adds that the Overseer may select some of those "graduating" for his own staff, but that the bulk of the students are to be disposed of. In another note, a researcher says quote "We had very low disposal overhead, thanks to the excellent harvest ratio this year. Just 74% of the overall graduating class. Incinerations will be done within the week. Good first task for Washington before we begin the real work." Since the Vault remained closed until some time prior to the Gunners taking over the vault, it stands to reason that the process within the vault worked something like the following (note, this is based on 18 years passing since the vault was first closed.)

Students are "graduated" and graded on the Genomic standard of the Vault. Those rating very highly are separated from the others. One by one, each are taken to a special room where eggs are harvested from the females, semen from the males. These "graduating" students are told they need a round of vaccinations prior to being let out of the Vault. These vaccinations are in reality a poison, which kills the students. Their bodies are incinerated as waste while their samples are preserved. The remaining students are segregated into those who mostly meet the standards, and those who do not. Of those who "mostly" meet the standard, the Overseer selects a number who become researchers. The rest are given shots to kill them, and their remains incinerated. Of those researchers, some are implanted with fertilized eggs from the samples, in an effort to breed better soldiers. These children are separated from their "parents" (mother) at birth and are put through the training. The goal being that over time the bad traits (as determined by the Overseer) are bred out of the students, and the good traits are bred into them.

Everything in the writing seems to suggest the above is true, though the question is how to incorporate it into the page itself.

Is it possible that the gunners are in fact, the remnants of Vault 75 residents?[]

Hi, I found out that this vault is populated by synths, who killed the gunners, I sided with BoS and I completed the main quest, would that be the cause?

--76.28.195.129 01:32, November 29, 2015 (UTC)

Just a note on having Synths in the vault. I had them after siding with the Minute Men. The institute is gone, but I have remained on reasonable terms with the BOS (so it may just be I got synths as I was they were hostile and BOS wasn't).

This was my first impression when I explored this Vault. It was populated by gunners, not synths or BoS. From reading the terminals and seeing how they were trying to breed supersoldiers, it makes a lot of sense that the Gunners are the organization that the Vault 75 dwellers formed upon rebelling and going out to the surface, although it would seem (if there is anything to this theory) that they became a mercenary group and have grown by accepting new recruits from the surface. npc inactive[]

Many of the npcs seem to be stuck standing on beds or just facing walls. They do not initiate combat until after engaged. No mods running, didn't happen first play-through either. After over 14days played in FO4 first time I've seen npcs act so strange. 192.184.41.189

Gary Blocks ![]

""" There are three instances of four wooden blocks arranged in the name "Gary", a reference to Gary clones from Vault 108 in Fallout 3; One in the western residential room on the mezzanine floor, another under the open vault door behind some crates, and one more in a cabinet inside one of the children's dorm rooms. """

There are 3 instances of 'Gary' blocks in the residential room on the messanine floor, this is the same room described as "one of the children's dorm rooms" in the article.

One on either side of the room, and one on the cabinet in the middle of the room.

This, plus the one in the vault entrance room makes 4 'Gary blocks"

Terrible photos, but proves my point enough to warrant investigation I hope!

I found 3 "Gary"s in the same room as well --HiXeus (talk) 09:05, September 23, 2019 (UTC)

A Possible Cause of the Rebellion[]

This is the vault that has a terminal with an entry that mentions that a scientist lost a page (or pages) of their research because it blew through the ventilation system and a normal resident picked it up. Here is the terminal entry. Vault_75_terminal_entries#Passing_Notes The living quarters and admin/lab areas were separate, and the lab was kept a secret. That incident could have revealed the true nature of the vault to the residents depending on what was on the pages, which could have caused the uprising. The possibility of that being the cause of the uprising is interesting, assuming that a normal resident picked it up and not another scientist. DivineBovine1989 (talk) 18:53, November 4, 2020 (UTC)
