I have pseudo-epiphanies all the time ;) But now my computer is back I'll be able to get back to work, including the Bleak House page. Would that, in your opinion, be an appropriate page under the criteria of the history project? --Skire (talk) 02:14, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
- I would certainly agree, especially in the sense that it just meets the criteria. Much like the Wright Flyer, the history pages aren't just limited to historical figures. That chalkboard says it all. While it may be less significant than certain others it still qualifies, in my opinion. Let's go ahead with this one. --Skire (talk) 02:38, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
Pristine Treatment
Thanks a lot for pointing that out! I completely forgot about looking through the film treatment as an example of term usage. Thanks a lot, Ci. If you're interested, you can give my sandbox a read. I would love further feedback on any additions or revisions that need to be made before release. Some Assembly Required! 15:06, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
- I believe I can agree with all of that. And haha, would you mind re-writing that section for me while I'm finishing up the rest? I wasn't sure how much to write for the film treatment, as there is such limited information involved there. Some Assembly Required! 16:17, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot! And yes, any further help would be greatly appreciated. :) I'll have the refs added in a bit. Some Assembly Required! 17:32, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
- Hmm... aside from the refs that need adding, there's really not that much to do until revive forum part II to determine who is a pure human or not. Further re-writes might be needed, if you see something not to your liking. I'll be giving the entire sandbox another combing through in a bit after I've had some lunch. Re: What's new
You speak English better than I speak French, I can tell you that much. I've just been over at The Vault doing some maintenance on perk articles, nothing too glamourous. I've noticed you've been having "fun" with the Fallout film treatment. --Kastera (talk) 20:36, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
- The main reason I became a teacher was so I could illustrate to at least a sliver of students that history isn't just a bunch of dates or people to memorize, but instead a tool that can help one analyze current situations and propose possible solutions to those situations. I also wanted to break the mold that all history teachers/professors stand at the front of the room and monotonously drone on and on and instead engage my students and hold legitimate conversations with them along with asking their opinions on events and people to keep them "in" the conversation. --Kastera (talk) 21:41, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

- I've taken a look and I think they're very well done. It's especially good that there are a large number of citations/references (that most other pages lack). There are a lot of red links but they should be taken care of in due time. And the Bleak House page will be on the book, since that is the one referenced on the chalkboard, but nevertheless the eponymous house itself can be talked about within the article. Perhaps you would be interested in making this one? (My schedule is a little tight ATM.) --Skire (talk) 01:35, June 1, 2013 (UTC)
Fallout film
Looks ok to me. I'm not too happy with all those red links (+40 or so compared to 2 weeks ago) but I trust you'll make pages of them all. You may want to consider adding small pages like probably water chip to the Water chip page with the {{Film}} / {{Film/End}} tag though. Jspoel 14:38, June 1, 2013 (UTC)

Line breaks
I was removing some idle line breaks made by Skire bot (enable show bots). I tried to make Skire aware of the error, but no response, so I started correcting some of my own. And I can assure you I did it by hand. Jspoel 23:59, June 2, 2013 (UTC)
Edits
My bot has been going around for the last hour removing project tags, but unfortunately it has been leaving behind an extraneous white line where the project tags used to be. I now have resumed the separate program that removes the extraneous white line (along with other minor fixes) to follow the removals. I had paused this second program because I wanted the first program (removing the tags) to move ahead, since the second program had (somehow) been catching up and surpassing the first. Jspoel knows of this white line issue from a previous conversation and I think he's been removing them after my bot removes the tags. I hope you can understand what's going on and it certainly isn't anything malicious. Like I said, the second program is going again now and should get all of the white spaces. --Skire (talk) 00:00, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
- No problem. It's really my fault, I should have responded earlier. And I know you have a lot on your plate now with the film but can you still take on the Bleak House page? --Skire (talk) 00:26, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

there is an error on the bleak house page. it mentions that the book is referenced on the classroom blackboard in vault 13 in fallout 3 when i think it should read vault 101 as vault 13 isn't in fallout 3.

Ghoul
Hey, thanks for the support. I know that there's a Ghoul page already but I think tactics needs it's own page. The ghouls in tactics are mostly just creatures to be killed for xp, so I think having a page that has the stats of the different variants is useful. There's at least ten different variants. Whilst the ghoul page seems to be basically an overview of the ghoul race, I'd like the tactics page to be just like any other creature article with all the variants and loot. I had no idea who was involved, just that I was talking on Skype, and it was pointed out to me that I was brought up when objectifying women was being discussed. Didn't even realize you were involved until Mel and I were talking and she was asking who had brought it up. I just thought it weird that a comment of mine would even be referred to, and I thought it was funny that it was brought up by men; not any actual women that I talk to. Sort of reminded me of how it's usually white people who get offended over the N-word, when most black people don't even care. xD Some Assembly Required! 16:03, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
- To be honest, it's not like I was insulted. I thought the whole ordeal was pretty hilarious myself. :P But if it was all said in satirical fashion, then I won't keep blubbering on about it any further.
Hmm. I know what you mean, but I've never really encountered any issues personally. With my dad being an airforce military brat, I've traveled all across the States, and I don't think any of the black friends that I've made has ever given a shite that I use the N-word. Can't really say how it's received elsewhere across the world, as the majority of my travels has only taken me across Scandinavia and their close neighbors. Some Assembly Required! 16:51, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
- In response to that, I'd refer you to this forum. A figure of speech is just that - a figure of speech. Nothing less, nothing more. You'll never actually see me making fun of rape, or advocating it. Some Assembly Required! 17:46, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
- By observer, I mean someone who has had family members and etc. raped. I didn't mean that as in someone was literally there watching the entire deal. Anyways, you are correct in that I would stand behind you. Like I said, I do not make fun of rape, nor do I necessarily condone it. (Although, as a Nihilist, I don't make personal declarations of what is right and wrong.) If you'll notice, I only ever use the word whenever talking about objects, not people or animals. Some Assembly Required! 19:05, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
- Ahhh, that's a more private discussion of my own personal beliefs that we would have to have away from prying eyes, you understand. Don't think of me too harshly by saying that, but Nihilism doesn't recognize the black/white jurisdiction very well. As for the rest, I'm certainly not going to argue with you about that. It's a touchy subject that I don't like to get into outside of professional debates. Some Assembly Required! 19:20, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, if it was just you and I talking, I'd have no problem with that. I'm sure we'd keep it professional. But let's not kid ourselves that others wouldn't jump in. :P As for Nihilism, I wouldn't make judgment calls quite yet. I'm not one of those emo Existantialist Nihilists who think there's no point to living. As for our friendship, I hope the sake of it wouldn't ever be put up. I'm not necessarily here to make friends, but I do enjoy the friends I have made, and I never hold grudges just because of dumb arguments. Life is too short for that shit. Audio Needed
Hey Guardian. Glad you're adding those maintenance tags for the audio files - as the maintenance tags are really quite useful to know what needs work, yet aren't used all that much - but I'd just like to leave you a heads up that it's best to always place them into the most specific categories. By this I mean instead of just Category:Audio needed you place them into ones such as Category:Audio needed (Fallout), Category:Audio needed (Fallout 2) and so forth. You can do this in the maintenance tags themselves by just placing a bar then input the game abbrevations such as {Audio needed|FNV}. Once again good work, and I'm really happy to see your activity increasing and increasing. Yours Always; --The Old World Relics (talk/blog/contributions) 00:16, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
- When you add an audio file tag, you should remove the Notable Quotes Audio Project tag. No need to have two of the same. Also, a project tag precedes a file wanted tag. So first you would get the NQPT tag, then the audio file tag. While you're at it, you may also want to consider helping out uploading files. The less tags and the more audio files, the better it is for the wiki. Jspoel 15:31, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
- I thought minor FO1/FO2 characters like Izo didn't have audio quotes? Only major characters with a tell-me-about have that, right? Jspoel 15:34, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
- Seems all a bit overdone to me with all those tags. When you see that audio project tag, you know that a top quote audio file is meant to be placed as well... Jspoel 15:44, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

Audio needed template
Hey Ci! I was curious: doesn't that template kind of make {{Notable Quotes Audio Project}}
superfluous? And do you need bot assistance in adding those tags? (Make sure they're at the very top of the page, since they are maintenance tags.) I was just wondering because it seems like most project tags nowadays have been added for little to no real reason... --Skire (talk) 20:09, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

- Now that I look at it, it is indeed quite odd, and suffice to say it bothers me a bit now too! I guess I've always treated "The Wastes" as both capitalised (kinda like The Hague), with "of" being de-capitalised because it is not significant. Hopefully that's somewhat of an explanation... I can write it however way it bothers you least, no problem. --Skire (talk) 22:46, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
