Ashtrays are miscellaneous items that can be found and obtained in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4.

Overview

Ashtrays are a simple round bowl for the disposal of ashes, and acts as temporary storage for cigarette's, cigars, and/or other smoking paraphernalia.

Characteristics

In game-play terms, ashtrays are mostly a purely decorative item, though they can be used as Rock-It Launcher ammunition (Fallout 3 only). Ashtrays with lit cigars in them are considered static decorations, and cannot be picked up or otherwise interacted with.

Fallout 4

With the release of Fallout 4, ashtrays have become a source of materials for the game's in-depth crafting system.

Locations

Ashtrays are commonly found frequently throughout the Capital Wasteland, Mojave Wasteland, and the Commonwealth.
