The Ballistic Orbital Missile Base 002 (or B.O.M.B.-002) was one of three space stations constructed by constructed by the United States Armed Forces and the United States Space Administration in 2073, and one of only two which actually made it into space.

Background

B.O.M.B.-002 was constructed to hold 24 nuclear missiles and 6 astronauts for operation; however, B.O.M.B.-002 was hit by an asteroid making it fall back to Earth at an unknown time, possibly between ten to fifty years before 2253. Bits of the wreckage can be seen at the crash site in the Grand Canyon. The crash site is now entirely occupied by scavengers. Its computer core is the player's main objective, but he/she cannot get there due to the massive amount of radiation and must find another way to get to it.

Layout

The base's layout is identical to the one of Ballistic Orbital Missile Base 001.

Appearances

The crash site of Ballistic Orbital Missile Base 002 was going to appear in Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios.
