Behemoths (Fallout 4)
These monstrous, elderly Institute super mutants are a result of the mutation failing to stabilize, resulting in uneven growth and creating warped, twisted creatures that would seem pitiful, if they weren't so strong. The side-effect was known ever since Edgar Swann, one of the first test subjects, experienced the transformation, but the Institute never bothered to eliminate the flaw from their experimental strains.
The behemoth is an extreme threat on the ground and in the open, thanks to its ability to hurl boulders, close distance, and smack what survives with whatever it uses as a mace. Dealing with it at a distance using high damage weapons is recommended, as its high damage resistance will typically soak damage up.
- Behemoths are an infrequent spawn in the wasteland, typically found in heavily infested areas. Swan is a permanent, fixed spawn in Boston Common.
