Your brain is back in your body, but some of the advanced technologies remain: Your head still cannot be crippled, but you are only 10% more resistant to addiction now. Surprisingly your damage threshold has improved by 10% (minimum +1 DT)”— Fallout: New Vegas description
Effects[edit | edit source]
By convincing your brain to return to your body or convince it to come back to The Sink, you brain can be re-installed. Following the re-installation, your head cannot be crippled, you gain +10% Damage Threshold (with a minimum of +1) and +10% resistance to chem addictions.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- The DT added by this perk and Brainless does not work correctly. A fix for the PC version is available here.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
|The following is based on Fallout New Vegas cut content and has not been confirmed by canon sources.|
- Apparently, the original counterpart to Brainless was to be called 'Brain-full', and the description implies that it would have provided 10% more XP, 1 more skill point per level, +1 Intelligence, and +10 Science. Additionally, there is also a mirror of Big Brained with the same name but different effects (identical addition resistance as Brainless, with +5% DR as opposed to +5% or +10% DT) and description.
Your brain is back in your body! And it's smarter now! You now gain experience at an increased rate (+10%) You gain one additional skill per level. Your Intelligence is higher (+1 INT) and your Science skill has been raised by 10.”— Brain-full description
Your brain has been augmented with advanced technologies: Your head can no longer be crippled and is resistant to chem addiction (25% resistance) and shock from bodily damage (5% Damage Resistance).”— Big Brain mirror description
