Bloatfly meat is a consumable item in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics

Bloatfly meat is the insectoid meat that can be scavenged from the many bloatflies around the wasteland. Surprisingly, the meat from a bloatfly is as big as, if not bigger than, a living bloatfly.

It restores +5 Hit Points in total, but also gives you a small amount of radiation, in the form of 5 rads. It can also be used to make bloatfly slider at a campfire. Additionally, in hardcore mode it can reduce Starvation by +25, at the expense of -1 Strength for a 2 minutes duration.
