During the Great War, Andersteen and his family took refuge in a drainage chamber outside of Washington, D.C. At the time of the transmission, his son was sick and dying and he used a radio frequency to call for a doctor to come to his family's sewer hideout. However, no help came.
One can pick up the frequency and discover the sewer only to find that the whole family did not survive. The parents' skeletons can be found in the bunk room, but not the boy's.
