The Boston Bugle building is a location in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston in 2287.

Background[]

Before the Great War, this building was the main headquarters of the Boston Bugle newspaper company.

Layout[]

The Boston Bugle building has a relatively small interior, with three accessible floors. The door from the street leads into the lobby area, with a receptionist desk and an elevator. The elevator ascends to an upper floor featuring a ruined office guarded by a hostile Protectron. The collapsed floor and a stairwell through a door to the south allow access to a middle floor just below, where a steamer trunk sits by the south wall.

The upper and middle floors both feature identical Novice-locked Boston Bugle article terminals, which contain five articles detailing events in the final days before the Great War. A wooden door on the west wall of the upper floor exits to a ruined exterior office, where a vantage point for MILA and a Novice-locked floor safe may be found.

Notes[]

  • Article 4 in the terminals references Raven Rock from Fallout 3, as well as the oil rig used as an Enclave base in Fallout 2, named "Control Station Enclave".
  • Article 5 in the terminals indicates Boston's baseball team hasn't won a World Series since 1918. The article states that the deciding game of the 2077 World Series, in which Boston had a three-game lead, would take place on October 23, 2077, and that it would take "some obscene calamity of man" to keep Boston from winning.

Appearances[]

The Boston Bugle building only appears in Fallout 4.

Bugs[]

PCPC Xbox OneXbox One The door to the Boston Bugle building may not work. It can be opened, but will not cause the user to enter the building. Saving and reloading does not fix this issue; however, leaving the area and returning does. [verified]
