Brandon McDaniel was an electrical engineer of the United States of America Robotics Technology Facility RB-2851 prior to the Great War of 2077.

Believing that it would be exciting to sign up and work for the robotics program, Brandon McDaniel was quite deflated once he learned from experience about his new assignment. As he put it baby sitting a bunch of generators. So much so that upon hearing of his assignment he debated quitting. Citing his four years of electrical engineering school and his ability to strip a Mister Handy or Protectron down to its base parts in under two hours. He considering his new post a complete waste of time.[1]

One day after talking to Sharpley during a smoke break, he thought of a way to turn his isolation into an advantage. He had a buddy in the civilian service who works for an unspecified vending company, whom reckoned that he could make a few bucks if he stick one of his cigarette machines in his station. Correctly reasoning that it would save everyone a trip all the way to the surface if they're out of smokes. It also give him an excuse to say hi to any of the ladies that happen to wander in to purchase some.[2] Although he was able to carefully sneak a machine into his substation a coworker – Banks at Substation B – began complaining about the smoke coming from his station. At first Brandon McDaniel thought he was just jealous that all of the ladies have been hanging around him at the new, unofficial smoking lounge. However this was just a ploy, telling Brandon McDaniel that he was going to "lodge a formal complaint with Delano" if he don't "make him happy." In the face of such an extortion, he contemplated paying him off so as to avoid punishment.[3] Then he had a brilliant turn of fortune, by getting official approval to keep the cigarette machine in his substation without any punishment what-so-ever. This however was due to him bribing General Rawlings with a few cartons himself.[4]

Brandon McDaniel is mentioned only in the Fallout 4 add-on Automatron.
