Gametitle-VB.pngThe following is based on Van Buren and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

Lieutenant Butch Mariano is in charge of the NCR encampment under the Interstate 25 overpass and is currently tasked with reconnaissance of Caesar's Legion.

Background[edit | edit source]

Mariano and the troopers in the camp are on standby for an assault on the Legion camp, but are unable to without authorization from his superiors. The letter of authorization has been long over due and the Prisoner has the choice to take up the side quest "On Hold." Butch Mariano also has minor issues to deal with, including an impenetrable Legion sniper nest and a trooper that has gone missing.
