The Capitol Post headquarters in L'Enfant used to be a large, prominent office building belonging to the pre-War newspaper. Damage to the building caused most of it to cave in, resulting in only a small part of it being accessible.

Layout[edit | edit source]

Exterior[edit | edit source]

The building looks out onto a square with a roundabout, surrounded by regular housing. Once a peaceful neighbourhood, it is now overrun by super mutants and super mutant overlords (Broken Steel only).

Office[edit | edit source]

The interior consists of a lobby and a small room with terminals that provide access to pre-War articles (note that one of the terminals is trapped). In the back of the room is a collapsed floor that gives access to the basement, or rather, what's left of it. Apart from defunct microfilm viewers, there is also an old printing press there, with the decapitated body of Gibson propped up against it, with a brief note and the key to his house in Minefield.

The only enemies found in the office are several radroaches.

Bugs[edit | edit source]

  • Gibson can sometimes be found still alive, but hostile. He may also respawn after a few days. Sometimes only Gibson's head will be found.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

The Capitol Post building appears in Fallout 3.
