Central Mountain lookout is a location in the Savage Divide region of Appalachia.

Background

Located high up in the mountains of the Savage Divide, this lookout tower had a pristine view of the surrounding area, which was instrumental to the goal of preventing wildfires. Following the aftermath of the Great War, it became a hotspot for the nearby group of raiders, of which one ran a string of games out of. This game had the ultimate price - a cost that it seems many travelers could not afford.

Layout

This lookout tower, due east from Pleasant Valley Ski Resort across Route 63, gives a view of the Mire to the east. On the ground level, a porta-potty with a "mysterious button" can be found. This is a one-way elevator exit from the launch center of Site Alpha. At the top of the first staircase is a tripwire trap.

Activating the railing at the top of the tower will reveal the markers for other locations on your map, although one will still need to travel there to unlock fast traveling to these locations. These locations may include: Top of the World, Pleasant Valley Ski Resort, Pleasant Valley cabins, Pleasant Valley Station, North Cutthroat camp, Yellow Sandy's still, The Sludge Hole, Wendigo cave, Autumn Acre cabin, Seneca Gang camp, and Seneca Rocks.

Appearances

Central Mountain Lookout appears only in Fallout 76.
