We don't appreciate wise guys here. Buzz off.

Chris Avellone is a bounty hunter found in his domicile in the Boneyard in Fallout.

Background[edit | edit source]

This burly man, wearing combat armor and a button that reads "I'm Christopher and you're meat.",[1] is the most feared bounty hunter in the wastelands, hunting down miscreants for a living (and because it makes his life fun). He is quite serious and has issues with his sense of humor, preferring to deal with recurring annoyances with overwhelming firepower. These annoyances include childkillers, donut seekers[2], and of course, the bad guys he hunts down. His large, well armed entourage certainly helps in the ceases.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Chris Avellone has a abrupt attitude and is very serious about his money.[3] Due to him basing his residence near the Followers, he and Nicole have discussed the Children of the Cathedral.[4]

His relation to the King of the Dance Floor and the mayor of Springfield is unclear.

Interactions with the player character[edit | edit source]

Interactions overview[edit | edit source]

This character has no special interactions.

Other interactions[edit | edit source]

  • Avellone will attack the player if they make the donut joke again.[2]
  • Avellone will be one of the encounters on the world map if the player character is a childkiller.[5] Avellone and his team can appear anywhere, with a 50% chance whenever an encounter is rolled. The Ranger perk reduces this chance.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

It's just a joke from Jess Heinig, one of the programmers. It's one of the five billion developer in-jokes in Fallout 1 and 2. The fellow [Avellone] has no past, and no future.

Fallout Bible 5

Chris Avellone is an inside joke about how Chris Avellone has neither a past nor a future.[6]

Appearances[edit | edit source]

This Chris Avellone appears only in Fallout.
