Clark Field is a location in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background[edit | edit source]
Before the Great War, Clark Field was a small power plant and nuclear storage facility. Ruined centuries ago, Clark Field is now a derelict, with containment reactors seeping radiation out to the surrounding area. The pleasant radioactive warmth is attractive to golden geckos, while the irradiated detritus attracts scavengers, with predictable results.
Layout[edit | edit source]
Clark Field is nested in the hills east of Highway 95 and Novac. The main building and adjacent water tanks are almost completely ruined, with a pack of golden geckos skulking among the ruins. The parking lot by the ruin contains the remains of a trailer truck. Near the yellow NAC container is a dead body with a case of .308 rounds and about a dozen or two bottle caps scattered around it and a box of Mentats at the other side of the container. The dead brahmin by the water tanks marks a spot with two stimpaks and a super stimpak on the ground.
Notable loot[edit | edit source]
- Isotope-239 igniting agent, radiation suit, and Mr. RADical's Journal: On the late Mr RADical at the northern entrance.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Clark Field appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
- Fallout: New Vegas Official Game Guide Collector's Edition p.419: "[6.07] Clark Field
Highway 95 winds around this place, as if to escape the death and stagnation: A small power plant and nuclear storage site bombed long ago, with containment reactors slowly leaking out radiation, Clark Field now sports broken concrete and dead corpses succumbing to the poisoning or the pack of Golden Geckos that roams here. The facility itself has little to scavenge, although a fallen Pack Brahmin has spilled out a couple of Stimpaks. A skeleton near the south parking lot has some scattered Caps and ammo. But the main item of interest is on the Scavenger in the Radiation Suit on the road from Novac [5.18]. This is the late great Mr. RADical; and his Igniting Agent fuels rockets to the stars! Check out his journal to read the musings of a man a little too over-confident in the abilities of his suit."
