The combat rifle is a rifle in Fallout 76.

Characteristics[]

A rifle used by the United States Armed Forces prior to the Great War, the combat rifle is a semi-automatic rifle chambered for the .45 round. It can also be rechambered for the weaker .38 cartridge. The combat rifle can be converted to fire fully automatic, turning it into an automatic capable rifle which benefits from Commando perks. If kept semi-automatic, it benefits from the Rifleman perks.

  • The plans can be obtained as a quest reward upon completion of the Motherlode.
  • Can be looted from Scorched.
  • One can be found in the Enclave Brig, opposite the bloody shower on the wall.

Notes[]

  • The combat rifle and the combat shotgun share animations and several attachment models.
  • Although visually, its magazine appears to be loaded with .308 rifle rounds, the combat rifle can only be chambered in .45 and .38 with no .308 conversion existing unlike its Commonwealth counterparts.
