You must be lost then. This is the base commander’s office. Nobody’s allowed here unless the old man sends for you.

Commander's door guard is a serviceman of the Enclave stationed at Camp Navarro in Fallout 2.

The door guard has one mission in life: To stand guard at the door to the commander's quarters in the underground portion of the base. This unnamed trooper takes his job seriously and is unlikely to yield to persuasion of any kind. For overly curious troopers, he has a harsh word. For everything else, there's the plasma rifle he is carrying.

Interactions with the player character

Interactions overview

This character is involved in quests.

  • Retrieve the FOB from the base Commander.: Getting by the guard is mandatory for reaching the tanker fob.
    • With a high Speech skill, if the player knows about the fob, they can bluff their way into the commander's room by claiming to be security detail sent to secure it.
    • If the player learns from the guard that a cleaning detail comes to clean up the commander's quarters, they can pose as the cleaner. Note that this requires breaking line of sight (going to another room of the base, for instance) and waiting an hour. The guard will recognize attempts to pose as the crew immediately, if the player suddenly claims they were sent in on cleaning duty.
