Counterfeit bottle caps are a miscellaneous item in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Found only in the Cap Counterfeiting Shack, counterfeit bottle caps are the product of persons unknown (the inhabitants of the shack are never seen, alive or dead). Physically they appear identical to standard Nuka-Cola bottle caps and are presumably intended to be used for trading in place of actual bottle caps. This is not possible however, as the item has a value of zero, making it impossible to trade them with merchants for any monetary gain. Given that the Courier is able to instantly identify them as counterfeits, the resemblance may not be as close as the image would suggest.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Counterfeit bottle caps are found only in the basement of the shack, on a table next to several empty Nuka-Cola bottles and empty Sunset Sarsaparilla bottles. There are a total of 18, all found on the table's surface.
