Hello! Your friendly local product manager here :)
I'd like to take a moment to tell you about a new feature we're enabling on your wiki, which we'd love to get your feedback on - "user badges".
With user badges you can tell everyone about the cool things you are doing on this wiki by:
- Adding it to your MySpace or Facebook profiles...or anywhere else you have a profile on the web
- Adding it to your forum signatures
- Adding it to your blog, homepage or other personalized site
To create your customized badge, head to your Special:Preferences page and click on the "User badge" tab. There you can change the look and feel of the badge to suit your personality. A couple of my own badges are shown below:
We would love to hear about what you want to showcase on the badge in the future and value your feedback. Let us know what you think below.
Visit [[Help:User badge]] for more detailed info on this feature!

It looks absolutely awesome. I'd love to make one myself, but I have an embarassing low amount of edits on the english version of the Vault. I'd love to be able to implement this on The VaultNO some day, though Is there a link I can visit to learn how?

Awesome addition to The Vault. Just an idea here, but would it be possible to make a User Badge to track global edits (across all Wikias)? Not to mention I'm also wondering what the update/refresh time is on the image for the number of edits. ---The Incendiary -- 17:12, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Might just be me, but having the logo clip over the header looks a bit strange in my opinion when the logo has a transparent background. See example below.
- <badge user="Porter21"/>
- Is the logo used in the badge somehow configurable by admins? -- Porter21 (talk) 00:22, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- To add a bit to Porter's complaint, it also looks like the logo has been vertically compressed. It certainly isn't terrible looking, but it does look a tad awkward.--PwnzerfaustMonk 11:28, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
My blasted badge won't update my number of edits: I've overwritten my old one so the one shown under my preferences has the right number, but the one on my User page stubbornly refuses to update its' 200-something edit discrepancy. A little help anyone? Techercizer (say hi) (pwnage) 23:06, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Same here. Even If I delete, save the apge, the add it back, it shows the same # as when I first added it. DragonJTS 11:59, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Stupid badges. Won't update. Grrr. Fat Man Spoon 13:07, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
