Darren Manes is a developer who worked at Bethesda Softworks on Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 and Fallout Shelter as the Director of Quality Assurance.
Career[]
Darren Manes got his start in early 2000, as a QA Tester at Kesmai as it was bought out by Electronic Arts and turned into EA.com. After moving on to Maxis as a QA Supervisor and then EA Headquarters in Redwood Shores as a QA Manager, Darren moved to Turbine where he served as a Producer and QA Coordinator.
By late 2005 he had moved on to Emergent Game Technologies as a Senior Project Manager / QA Manager, but ended up moving back to EA in 2007 as a Senior QA Manager for the Warhammer franchise. He is currently the Director of QA for Bethesda Softworks.
He has over 15 web-based game credits, but the majority of his experience is in the Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) realm - and has worked on a large number of them - including: Majestic, Motor City Online, Ultima Online and its expansions, Ultima X: Odyssey, The Sims: Online, Asheron's Call, Dungeons & Dragons Online and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
