The drained flamer fuel is a miscellaneous item in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

A drained flamer fuel tank is the byproduct of a spent flamer fuel tank. They are flamer tanks with very little fuel left in them. Not enough to use for a shot from a flamer, but enough that, if a player gathers more of them, the remaining fuel can be pooled together to make fresh, usable tanks. When dropped, it has the appearance of an energy cell.

Recipes[edit | edit source]

Recycling; flamer fuel tanks - With a Science skill of 15, a player can pool the leftover fuel from 4 drained flamer fuel tanks to make a full flamer fuel tank.

  • Requires: Science 15, 4 drained flamer fuel tanks
  • Creates: 1 flamer fuel tank

Efficient Recycling; flamer fuel tanks - With a Science skill of 40 and the Vigilant Recycler perk, a player can wring a little extra fuel out of each drained tank, reducing the number of drained flamer fuel tanks needed to make new ones.

  • Requires: Science 40; Vigilant Recycler; 3 drained flamer fuel tanks
  • Creates: 1 flamer fuel tank

Locations[edit | edit source]

  • Drained flamer fuel tanks can be taken from the dead bodies of enemies wielding a flamer, incinerator or a heavy incinerator when they are killed.
  • You will get a drained flamer fuel tank, 25% of the time when you fire a weapon that uses flamer fuel, unless you are using Homemade flamer fuel, which has a 0% chance to give a drained tank.
