Here at New Reno Arms, we have the latest personal protection devices needed to stop any yellow-bellied sonuvabitch dead in his tracks.

Eldridge is the owner and proprietor of New Reno Arms in Fallout 2.

Background[edit | edit source]

A heavily armed man covered with grease,[2] Eldridge is the primary supplier of weapons and ammunition to the hard working denizens of New Reno. He is the proud owner of a large collection of armaments (which he admires whenever he has the opportunity and some free time). He deals with all families equally, ensuring that no one would have the incentive to cut him out of the picture.[3]

His only issue are the Salvatores, who receive their laser weapons from the Enclave.[3] Eldridge would definitely like to start dealing in those. His dream is getting a turbo plasma rifle,[4] although a laser pistol will suffice. Of course, he has the knowledge necessary to work with these weapons, or at least begin work.[5] He has studied pre-War technology extensively and knows how to identify power armor,[6] not to mention deal in rare tech, like the voice recognition module.[7]

His relationships are limited. He lives with three dogs, Packard, Buck and Missy,[8] and is known to have at least two children.[1] His back room bears NCR propaganda posters and a copy of their history holodisk, indicating he's a supporter in some capacity. However, despite that, he owns a slave, Algernon – whom he cares for dearly; an idiot savant who handles weapons upgrades.[9][10]

Interestingly, he hunts gangs on a weekly basis.[11] He is also one of the many businessmen to employ Jules as a greeter[12] – although he personally knows him to be a "lazy bastard."[13]

He – like so many in New Reno – is overjoyed to hear of the Enclave's destruction, citing them as a great example for the Second Amendment.[14] As well as property rights, citing how the last person that tried to get into his back room is buried in Golgotha.[15]
