Eleanor Tarquin was a journalist for the Charleston Herald before the Great War.

Background[]

In 2061, Eleanor conducted an investigation into the practices of Allegheny Asylum, during which she posed as a patient needing treatment. She was misdiagnosed and institutionalized without much credible evidence, showing just one example of unethical behavior at the facility. During her stay, she saw cruel and unusual treatment methods alongside barely satisfactory levels for basic needs.

When her editor attempted to release her, they were met with extraordinary fees and mismanagement of release files. What was intended to be a ten-day stay turned into a month-long nightmare. Once she was freed, Eleanor wrote the Herald article "A Month of Madness," an exposé which caused so much controversy within a single week that it forced the asylum to close.[1]

Appearances[]

Eleanor Tarquin is mentioned only in Fallout 76.
