Even a God-King Can Bleed is a two-star (★★) challenge in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Gun Runners' Arsenal.

Challenge requirements

In order to complete this challenge, the Courier must cripple Caesar's head with a throwing spear. The challenge will not complete if the crippling attack also kills him.

Effects

Grants 500 XP upon completion.

Notes

• It is possible to kill Caesar in one hit with a throwing spear, rendering this a tricky challenge to complete, unless the difficulty is turned up to very hard and a critical hit is not scored.
• Another 500 XP can be easily earned by finishing Caesar off with a knife or combat knife.

Behind the scenes

The name of this challenge is a reference to the film 300. It references King Leonidas telling Xerxes, upon meeting for the first time, "...and before this battle was over, that even a god-king can bleed." Leonidas keeps his word when, during the film's climax, he hurls a throwing spear at Xerxes, cutting his cheek and drawing blood, the Courier's actions mirroring this act.
