Detailed walkthrough[]
At least one player must reach the island in the center of Grafton Lake to initialize the event. Three waves of mirelurks and mirelurk hunters will spawn around Pioneer Scout camp and make their way towards the island. Players must prevent the creatures from reaching the island by defeating them before they come ashore. If all enemy waves are defeated before they can reach the island, the event will complete, granting full rewards.
If at any point should a mirelurk reach the island, a mirelurk queen will be summoned. Once the queen and all other mirelurks are defeated, the event will complete, granting partial rewards. Recent updates have changed this so there is a grace period to still stop any mirelurks that reach the island before the queen appears. If she manages to spawn, the event automatically fails.
