Location
An Explorer hood can be found inside the Techatticup Mine behind a locked (average: 50 lockpicking skill) gate. It is also worn by Legion explorers, which can be found near any legion forces, especially in Cottonwood Cove .
Appearance
The hood consists of a baseball cap with a dirty blanket or towel wrapped around it.
Notes
Oddly though the headwear is worn by the Legions scouts and most headwear adds +1 Perception, but the Explorer hood adds no benefits.
Bugs
Much like the Eyebot Helmet in Fallout 3, the wearer's hair disappears when the item is equipped.
