Factory (South Boston)
Background[edit | edit source]
This unionized factory on the wharf of South Boston employed many veterans through a fast track program. It was operational until the day before the Great War, when its foreman – a retired high-ranking officer – got a coded warning from an old friend of his, about her nephew's baseball team. Its context; telling him to "[Send] the team home to be with their families." He took the message, telling his teamsters that it was a Union thing. He then closed the doors and retired to his office; wherein he fell asleep in his chair.
He awoke to the detonations and spent the day afterword gathering intelligence via radio. Although his fate is unknown, his office and the factory itself lays untouched two hundred and ten years later. Time however has not been kind, its computer system has been corrupted, vines have grown inside the building, its floor has cracked and sunk into the soil, and its stagnant water pools have become a prime breeding ground for bloodbugs.
Layout[edit | edit source]
The exterior of the factory is much like any other industrial location in the area, with a waterfront loading area, a workshop in a separate garage with a power armor station, and the factory itself. Inside, it has the factory floor, with a small administrative, two level section. The foreman's office contains a terminal that opens the ground-level cage containing the payroll, laying there since the pre-War times.
Notable loot[edit | edit source]
- Army helmet, on the desk in the foreman's office.
- Fusion core, in the fusion generator.
- An enormous amount of alcohol.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
This factory appears only in Fallout 4.
