A container is any world object that the player can utilize to store and/or manipulate the player character's inventory. This page contains all the containers for the games on the Gamebryo engine: namely Fallout 3 and its add-ons and Fallout: New Vegas and its add-ons.

Storage and inventory[edit | edit source]

Most containers are referred to as "unsafe", items placed in an unsafe container will disappear over time. This is because these containers are programmed to randomization the content it contains. This process starts when the container is first activated by the player.

"Safe" containers will never respawn their contents, retaining the contents that are deposited in them. This is because they are not programmed to randomize its content.

A container is an object that the player can activate to bring up an inventory in which you can put in, or take out items from your inventory. Fallout: New Vegas has many container types, many of which return from Fallout 3, such as refrigerators, as well as some brand new ones, such as Sunset Sarsaparilla crates.

Some containers are referred to as "unsafe", items placed in an unsafe container will disappear over time. "Safe" containers will never respawn their contents, retaining the contents that are deposited in them.
