Chryslus Corvega Coupe is a vehicle in Fallout and Fallout 2. It was part of the Corvega marquee.

Overview[]

The original Corvega Coupe was available on the market as early as 2056, initially with a combustion engine running on petrol and requiring the usual maintenance, including oil changes.[1] With the energy crisis starting in 2060 and restrictions on the use of fuel all but ending the use of fossil fuels in automobiles, the Corvega was converted to use fission and electric power sources.[Non-game 1] The first fusion engines entered the market in 2070, selling out in days.[Non-game 2]

The Corvega was subsequently released as a completely new, non-fossil fuel vehicle featuring an 800 horsepower fusion power engine capable of going from zero to 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) in 0.5 seconds.[2] It was completely analog with no onboard electronics, sold for the price of $199,999.[2]

It did not include either rust-resistant paint or auto alarms by default.[3]

Appearances[]

The Corvega Coupe appears in Fallout and Fallout 2.

Behind the scenes[]

The Highwayman appears to have been simply named a Corvega at some point and the name is still used to refer to it as such at several points in the game. For example, the broken Highwayman in Klamath is identified as a Corvega, even in its script and listing: "{410}{}{Corvega} # Kscorveg.int; Klamath broken car with fuel injection"
