Curious question... Can you use the abandoned bos bunker as player housing before starting dead money? What I'm wondering is will I lose my items if I store them in the bunker, and then play through dead money? I would really appreciate some input on this as I would hate to play all the way through dead money and lose my items only to have to load a save from before I started and have to move all of my gear out to play through it again. ----
I suppose you could use the Bunker if you wished but you'd have to avoid going into the room with the radio otherwise you'd trigger DeadMoney and be whisked of to the Siera Madre. IMO, the bunker is a good place AFTER completing DM as you have access to the magic machine and a regular supply of chips to get your goodies with.
There are plenty of other places that are good for player housing, the 1st being Victors shack in Goodsprings. There are also the various faction safehouses you can get access to throughout the game which are all good for player housing plus the Lucky 38 and the Tops presidential suite are easy to get hold of too. 124.169.229.35 02:07, June 8, 2011 (UTC)
The abandoned BOS bunker has everything you need for a house except for a place to cook. plus when you fast travel you end up right on your front porch. There's more storage space than you can use and you even have your own vending machine and cloud residue kit. You have a repair bench, reloading bench, and respawning sierra madre chips. You can use it, you just have to aviod the radio room. It makes a very good house before, and after it is almost perfect. You have all crafting reasources exept a campfire/hot plate. To much storage to ever use. A computer, a rocking BoS banner. Shelving and I use the sleeping area where radio is after dead money as an Armory.
