Is anybody else having issues with the advertisements? If I view the site in Google Chrome the page completely locks up, and when I view it with the Steam browser (as I often do while playing the game) the Steam overlay often crashes completely. I can't help but feel this is tied to the advertisements (most likely the video player on the right) considering that with Chrome the page appears visually except for whitespace where the ads used to appear, but otherwise it's totally frozen, I can't even scroll up and down. - Just tested Internet Explorer for kicks, and it also locks up. Therks 09:54, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
- It's definitely the advertisements. If I view the page in Firefox with Adblock enabled it works fine, if I disable the adblock it freezes up (although the ads do appear so I guess that's a step forward or something..) Anyway I'm done for now. Hopefully something is fixed in the morning. Therks 10:10, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
- It'd probably be best to report these issues to Wikia staff via Special:Contact. Not much we can do about it, I'm afraid. For a personal workaround, staying logged in should help as ads are not displayed to logged-in users. -- Porter21 (talk) 10:12, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Okay thanks, although the workaround won't work for me as I can't even get far enough in to login in the first place. Except that now the site is working fine in all my browsers... How very strange. Therks 20:27, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
