The Vault:Maintenance manual Nominated for deletion Broken redirects Double redirects New pages Problem reports Uncategorized categories Uncategorized files Uncategorized pages Wanted categories

Porter was our maintenance workhorse forever, but his time is limited now. The above table covers at least a lot of what we (especially admins) can do to keep The Vault organized and uncluttered.

The Maintenance Manual is worth reading. New Pages need to be viewed, marked as patrolled, or deleted as appropriate. Files (images) need to be categorized. Those are the biggies.

Redirects need managing, too, but they are much less in number and easier to keep up with.--Gothemasticator 03:57, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

I think I can look at the uncategorized files every once in a while. - Ghouly89 (Talk) 04:28, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned pages are now worth using as well, I cleared it down from over a 1000 to around 50. GhostAvatar 20:21, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for doing that! I've been going through the videos category. The vast majority are either not linked to at all or violate our videos policy or both. I think I've removed close to 200. Still 700 or so to go through.
Uncategorized images is not something I look forward to tackling. :/--Gothemasticator 17:44, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
Wouldn't be so sure of only 700 or so. If it is cached data that is updated daily, most wont show more than 1000 entries. GhostAvatar 20:21, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
Well, the count has been going down after every editing spree of mine - from 900 and some to just under 700 now. So, here's hoping the count is accurate.--Gothemasticator 22:16, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
