The Fusion Flea Supreme[1] is a nuclear vehicle found throughout the wastelands of the former United States.

Background[]

A pre-War ultra-sub-compact city transport featuring an advanced Chryslus nuclear-powered engine.[Non-game 1] The one passenger vehicle can be commonly found throughout the wastelands, and sometimes seen less frequently in regions such as the Mojave Desert.

A specially commissioned military variant was used as a scout vehicle all along the US Army's advancing fronts, making use of it's light weight, nimble handling, and small size to drive undetected through enemy defenses.[Non-game 2] It was equipped with a slick, low reflectance matte green paintwork, which blended perfectly with a wide range of environments, rendering the "Military Flea" all but undetectable when it counts.[Non-game 3] Unlike the standard Fusion Flea, the Military Flea used a diesel-fusion engine, instead of the nuclear engine found on civilian models, allowing for more economical driving, as well as more engine power.[Non-game 4]

Characteristics[]

Structurally, the entrance to the driver's seat was achieved through a lift-off roof windshield combination with a latch on one side. The East Coast models are blue in color with three wheels, two in the front and one in the back. The Mojave variants are a green-brown in color and lack the third wheel in the rear. They also feature a rear engine, protruding from behind the driver's seat. If shot at, some of the vehicles will burn briefly and then explode.

Behind the scenes[]

  • According to The Art of Fallout 4, the Fusion Flea Supreme was inspired by the 1955 Messerschmitt KR200.[Non-game 5]
  • A 1:18 scale model of the Fusion Flea Supreme was produced by The Wand Company. They were based on gifts given by Chryslus to promising employees who had completed two years of service. Images and information about the seven variants can be found on the Wand Company's website or were available for purchase on the Bethesda Gear Store. There are a total of seven variant paint jobs being released over time including variants such as a standard version, line green, Nuka-Cola Quantum, Slocum’s Joe, Racing Flea, Custom Candy, and Custom Candy No. 19.
