The garden terrace is a location in the Financial District of Boston in 2287.

Layout[]

The area features the ruined remains of a once-elegant rooftop terraced garden, with a fountain in the middle surrounded by dead grass, old lamps, and damaged trees. The terrace is accessible through the roof exit of Haymarket Mall or by traveling along the elevated highway above from the third-floor exits of Commonwealth Bank and the Congress Street garage. As soon as one arrives, the Sole Survivor will be assaulted by a leveled deathclaw (possibly two at higher levels).

The northeast corner of the terrace connects to the broken monorail that has crashed through the apartment building; the monorail cars can be reached via scaffolding on the side of the building (which does not fully connect to the street below). Several suitcases and a duffle bag are in the monorail cars near the building, while the front car includes the vantage spot for the Weathervane quest, a hostile Protectron, and a steamer trunk.

The deathclaw cannot enter the building, which may be entered through the rooftop door. The five accessible floors of the building may be reached by dropping through holes in the floors; an elevator also connects the top floor with the lowest accessible floor. A steamer trunk is on the top floor, a cooler is on the next floor down, and an Advanced-locked safe is partly buried in the rubble on the lowest floor.

Notable loot[]

  • Stealth Boy - On the second-lowest floor of the apartment building, next to a TV.
