Glowing fog crawler is a creature in Fallout 76.

Background[edit | edit source]

Fog crawlers are large, mutated crustaceans which are the result of the radioactive fog altering the local shrimp population.[1] The exact species from which fog crawlers mutated is not immediately apparent, but a mantis shrimp like Squilla mantis and crayfish among others are potential candidates. What is known is that this type of crawler has emerged from the havoc wrought by the rapidly mutating ecosystem of The Mire.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Fog crawlers are among the strongest and most tenacious foes encountered in Appalachia, combining excellent protection with a generous health pool and the ability to attack at range. The one advantage players have is that crawlers can be encountered away from the Mire, as far as the Ash Heap, where generous lines of sight and absence of fog make hunting them a lot, lot easier..
