- You're right. I can't understand it because it doesn't make any sense.

— Melinda and the Chosen One

The greeting office is the first stop for any visitors to Vault City.

Overview

Staffed by Chief Greeting Officer Melinda and the less-than-competent Sub-Greeting Chief Steve, the greeting office serves as the place where any newcomers get a first taste of Vault City's bureaucracy and doublethink.

Layout

Fo2 Greeting Office Interior.png

The building consists of one large room with two separate areas. In the northwest area is a table, some chairs, and a Nuka-Cola vending machine, and in the southeast area is the staff section, which includes a counter, desk and chair, locker, and computer.

Loot

  • Minor loot can be found in the locker, which can only be accessed at night or while sneaking.

Appearances

The greeting office appears only in Fallout 2.
