Scribe Haylen (Brotherhood registration HN-118FS) is a character in Fallout 4.
Background
A field scribe working under Paladin Danse in squad Gladius, Haylen is responsible for tending to the wounds of the soldiers in the field, maintaining the technology, and performing any investigations necessary to accomplish the Brotherhood's goals. She was sponsored into the Brotherhood by Knight Rhys and for a time thought the man harbored something more for her than camaraderie. However, it turned out that his apparent feelings were nothing more than general care for one's pupil. Haylen quickly put it behind herself, focusing on her work and soon joining Danse on the expedition to the Commonwealth.
She has certain doubts about the Brotherhood's ideology and practice. She joined out of idealism, but it was quickly confronted by brutal, pragmatic tactics that define Maxson's doctrine. While Haylen continues to work for the Brotherhood, she's constantly doubting herself over the morality of her chosen path.[1]
